Star Party on May 10, 2010 Observed with Dennis Beckley and Faith Jordan We decided to hit the TSP Superthin galaxies
AOL 2010. We completed the requirements
in one night. I took somewhat brief notes as I was sharing
eyepiece time with Dennis and Faith. This night was pretty far below average as
the transparency wasn’t
so hot. Many of the observed flat galaxies are
re-observations from my April trip to Cronan Ranch, but with darker
skies with a smaller instrument. Instrument: 18”
f/4.5
Obsession Classic Eyepieces: 27mm Panoptic (finder) ,11mm TeleVue Plossl, 6mm Zeiss ZAO-II, 8mm Ethos and 7.5 Tak LE NELM = 6.9 Seeing - 5/10 to 7/10 and Transparency – 5/10 |
